On 3 April, Rob Hill of CVC's London office and a friend, Roly Burr, left the UK to commence a Charity Challenge to walk the last degree of the globe to the North Pole, a distance of 150km over the Arctic icecap. The challenge went beyond the expedition itself: Rob and Roly presented to some 3,000 local school children for over three months ahead of the expedition to help promote science and discovery. They worked to raise £25,000 for three charities that care for children and young adults in their community. You can find out details on the expedition as well as the work the team are continuing to undertake at their dedicated website:www.arcticcharitychallenge2012.co.uk.
