CVC Capital Partners hires Yoshiaki Fujimori as Senior Executive Advisor of Japan

CVC Capital Partners ("CVC") today announced that it has appointed Yoshiaki Fujimori as Senior Executive Advisor of Japan. Mr Fujimori will be based in CVC's Tokyo office.

Mr Fujimori currently serves on the boards of Tokyo Electric Power Company, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Boston Scientific. Prior to this, he spent five years as CEO at LIXIL Corporation, the Japanese manufacturer of building materials and housing equipment. Before joining LIXIL Corporation, Mr Fujimori spent 25 years at General Electric where he held various management roles, most recently as Chairman and CEO of GE Japan and Senior Vice President.

Mr Fujimori holds an engineering bachelor's degree from the University of Tokyo and MBA from Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University where he serves as board of trustees.

Steve Koltes, Co-Chairman of CVC, said, "Fuji brings a wealth of knowledge about the Japanese market and will provide us with expert insight given his network of contacts in the region. I am confident that his counsel will greatly help us as we continue to expand our local presence and look for investments across Japan."

Yoshiaki Fujimori added, "CVC is a well-established global leader, with a pan-Asian network. I am very impressed with the quality and depth of both their platform and personnel. I look forward to advising CVC's portfolio companies and deal teams to enhance the firm’s existing successes."
