Elsan

In September 2014, CVC Funds completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Vedici. After the acquisition of Vitalia by Vedici in November 2015, the group was renamed Elsan.

Founded in 2000 by Jérôme Nouzarède and Dr. Michel Bodkier, Elsan is a leading player in the private hospitals sector in France. Today, it operates 80 clinics with over 10,900 beds. Elsan employs 14,000 people, gathers 3,200 practitioners and welcomes 1,200,000 patients each year.

Elsan’s activity is primarily focused on MSO (medicine, surgery and obstetrics) with some clinics providing other specialties such as rehabilitation, home care, radiology, dialysis and radiotherapy.

Vedici has enjoyed strong growth in the past years and we are delighted to have CVC as a partner to enter our next phase of development.
