In December 2003, CVC Asia Pacific Funds led the acquisition of Australia’s largest private hospital group from Mayne Ltd. and renamed the business Affinity Health Ltd.. In April 2005, CVC Asia Pacific sold Affinity Health to Ramsay Healthcare, to create the largest listed private hospital company in Australia.

As a regional integrated health care system, the company continues to focus on community-based, accessible care. It operates over 50 hospitals in Australia, three in Indonesia and 22 clinics, employs more than 200 physicians, and offers its own comprehensive insurance plan.
