In April 1997, CVC Funds acquired Meneba from Goodman Fielder, a listed Australian food company. Meneba is the leading producer of flour and cereal products in the Netherlands.

Meneba develops, produces and markets raw materials and functional cereal-derived ingredients for bakery products, foodstuffs, animal feed and industrial applications. In contrast to all other European cereal processors, the company offers the most comprehensive assortment of processed cereal products.

Meneba is headquartered in Rotterdam, Netherlands and has production plants in Wormerveer, Weert and Bossuit and other sales offices in Belgium and Germany. The company has an annual milling capacity of 1.2 millions tons, which ranks Meneba as one of Europe’s largest cereal processors. With over 450 employees, the company has achieved a turnover of some €360 million in 50 countries, 10% of which originates from product innovations realised in the past three years.

In November 2004, Meneba was sold to Bencis Private Equity.
