In keeping with its reputation for progressive and affordable healthcare, Siloam Hospitals acted quickly to meet the needs of its people, patients and the community. It established the "COVID-19 Heroes Appreciation" scheme to provide financial support for 1,820 nurses and other high-risk staff on the front line across its 39 hospitals in Indonesia. CVC Singapore donated to this scheme.
For patients, Siloam is offering rapid COVID-19 tests at cost and has opened two dedicated COVID-19 hospitals, with a capacity of up to 480 beds. During lockdown, patients with non-COVID-19 conditions can continue their treatment and consult with their healthcare professionals online. And to protect communities, Siloam donated 26,000 pieces of PPE to the East Java Police Department.
