URUS Group (“URUS”) has reached a partnership agreement with CVC Capital Partners IX (“CVC”) to invest in URUS Group. URUS has grown substantially in recent years, and CVC will now come on board to further enable and accelerate its strategic growth plan for the coming years.

URUS is a global leader in delivering products and services for dairy and beef artificial insemination genetics, reproduction, and farm management data systems. URUS companies service dairy and beef producers in more than 80 countries around the globe. As a market leader in dairy information management, the URUS cloud platform monitors over 14 million cows and heifers across 6,000 dairies.

URUS has expanded its activities substantially in recent years through targeted acquisitions and organic growth. CVC will take a stake in the company and will act as a supportive shareholder in close cooperation with existing shareholders Pon Holdings and Cooperative Resources International (CRI). CVC Capital Partner’s broad networks, deep expertise and financial resources will enable URUS to pursue the next phase of its ambitious growth plan, and further accelerate the development of its business and product portfolio for its members and clients.

The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2024. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
