Fraudulent Activity Awareness | CVC

Fraud can affect organisations regardless of geography, industry, or size and CVC, like any organisation, is not immune. CVC's name, brands, the names of our employees and other publicly available information may be misused by fraudsters in a variety of ways, including: 

  • Unsolicited emails, phone calls, texts, instant messaging or social media messages
  • Publishing fake websites
  • Using email accounts that fraudulently claim to be affiliated with CVC, CVC employees or companies in our network
  • Fake job advertisements or recruitment offers
  • Investment scams, including those promising unusually high returns
  • Communications asking for payments or personal information

CVC is not associated with the actions of these unauthorised persons and is not responsible for the consequences of these fraudulent activities.

General advice

When communicating with CVC, please remember:

  • CVC does not engage directly with retail customers nor offers retail products, such as investments, directly to the general public – either directly or through social media or messaging platforms or applications 
  • CVC does not conduct business or recruitment using social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.) or over messaging platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, WeChat etc.)
  • CVC will never cold-call you. If you receive an unsolicited telephone call or email from someone purporting to represent us, it is possibly fraudulent and you should take care not to provide any personal or financial information
  • CVC will never request money or bank account details through unsolicited channels 
  • Do not share passwords and login details or sensitive personal information with anyone, including anyone claiming to be from CVC
  • Only deal with CVC personnel affiliated with an authorised CVC office location

Any information you provide to CVC when alerting us to suspected fraud will be used solely for the purposes of investigating and responding to fraud attempts. Personal data may be shared with law enforcement authorities, regulators, or other fraud prevention bodies where required. Information will be handled securely and only by authorised personnel, and will not be retained longer than necessary for these purposes.
