CVC Capital Partners is proud to announce that the firm has become a Patron of youth charity, The Prince's Trust, joining a group of some of the world's leading companies, charitable foundations and individuals.
The Prince's Trust, founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1976, gives practical and financial support to over 40,000 disadvantaged young people every year, helping them to gain the workplace skills required to build a sustainable and self-sufficient future. CVC has made a multi-year commitment to supporting Prince's Trust activities in Jersey and the UK. Jill Junor of CVC Capital Partners commented: "We are delighted to be engaged with the Prince's Trust whose work has a substantial impact on the everyday lives of thousands of young people every year in the UK. In addition, this project in Jersey is compatible with CVC's wider philanthropic mission in improving the lives of disadvantaged young people throughout the communities where we work."
The Jersey initiative is a new £2 million partnership involving CVC, the Amazon Trust, the Jersey Youth Service and the State of Jersey to help young people in Jersey gain qualifications and jobs. The charity will spend the money over the next seven years to help over 1,400 disadvantaged young people.
