CVC Capital Partners ("CVC"), a leading global private equity firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Smyth as Senior Advisor to CVC, with immediate effect. Mr. Smyth will join CVC's Global Financial Institutions Advisory Board to support CVC's activities in the financial services sector in Asia.

Peter Smyth, based in Hong Kong, has over 30 years of international insurance experience and has held senior leadership positions at several global insurance companies. Mr. Smyth was formerly the Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific at MetLife. Prior to joining MetLife, Mr. Smyth was President of the International Business at The Hartford in the United States with responsibility for operations covering Japan, Europe (Ireland, UK, Germany), Brazil, Canada and Bermuda. He also spent over 10 years with ING-Asia Pacific responsible for operating life, pensions, funds management and distribution businesses across Asia and Australia.
