CVC Capital Partners announces that its flagship fund for private equity investments in Europe and North America, CVC Capital Partners VI ("Fund VI"), has secured investor commitments up to its hard cap of €10.5 billion.
On Friday 19th July, Fund VI formally accepted commitments of €10.25 billion from investors. The remaining €250 million of capacity has been allocated and is expected to be legally closed in late Q3 2013. Ninety percent of the capital was provided by investors with commitments to prior CVC Funds. CVC Capital Partners launched Fund VI in January 2013.
Steve Koltes, CVC Co-Chairman: "We are pleased and honoured that the investment community has shown so much interest in our latest flagship fund. It is a vote of confidence in Europe and in CVC's deeply-rooted and highly qualified professionals across the region. After 32 years of private equity investment in Europe, and despite the many challenges the region faces, we continue to remind our investors that Europe is home to more globalised, highly competitive and well-managed companies than any other part of the world."
