London - CVC Capital Partners ("CVC"), one of the world's leading private equity and investment advisory firms, today announced that Cathrin Petty will join as a Partner and Head of European Healthcare.  Ms Petty will be based in CVC's London office.

Ms Petty joins CVC from JP Morgan, where she was Head of Healthcare in EMEA. Prior to this, she was a Special Partner at Vitruvian Partners and a Partner at Apax Partners on their Healthcare/Life Sciences team. Ms Petty has worked on numerous healthcare transactions, including the IPOs of Spire Hospitals Plc, LEO Pharma's acquisition of Astellas Derm, Roche's acquisition of Intermune and the sales of LGC to KKR and Atos Medical to PAI Partners.

Ms Petty has also held numerous non-executive positions, including at the NHS (Strategic Health Authority for Greater London), Circassia Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Icon Plc., Qualitest Inc and Zeneus Pharma Ltd..

Over the last five years, CVC has invested €1.6 billion in European healthcare across Idcsalud, the leading Spanish provider of healthcare services, Elsan, the leading French private hospital operator, Alvogen, an international generic pharmaceuticals company and Doc Generici, a leading generic pharmaceuticals company based in Italy.
