Delta Topco, the parent company of Formula One, today announced that Chase Carey has been appointed as Chairman of Formula One. Chase Carey will succeed Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, who will remain on Formula One's board as a non-executive director.
Chase Carey has significant experience in the sport, media and entertainment industries and is currently Vice-Chairman of 21st Century Fox, where until 2015, he was President and COO. Prior to this, he was CEO of DirecTV, following News Corp's purchase of a controlling stake. Chase Carey joined Fox in 1988 and served in numerous roles, including CEO and Chairman of Fox Television Group. He is also a Director of Sky Plc, the leading sports broadcaster and 21st Century Fox.
