At the start of December, we held our third ESG Spotlight conference. 60 representatives from our portfolio companies came together to explore how best to achieve the elements of CVC’s ESG Four Pillar Approach.
The virtual event focused on how to prepare for a robust sustainability report and, based on SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) guidelines, how to establish credible decarbonisation plans. Two of our portfolio companies, who have already established decarbonisation targets and strategies, also presented case studies to further knowledge sharing.
Since 2020, we have run bi-annual ESG Spotlight conferences to bring our portfolio companies together in a virtual forum to address collective ESG challenges and opportunities. The topics covered in each conference reflect the ever-evolving ESG agenda as well as the priorities of both CVC and our investors. Through this inclusive and collaborative forum, all portfolio companies can network with each other, access shared learnings and best practice from companies operating across a variety of sectors and markets.
