CVC announces the appointment of Lorne Somerville and Cathrin Petty as Co-Heads of North American private equity. Lorne and Cathrin will be based in CVC’s New York office and will be responsible for driving CVC’s private equity strategy and vision in the region.
Lorne and Cathrin succeed Chris Stadler who transitions to the role of Chair of North America, as part of CVC’s long term succession strategy for its private equity strategies in the region. Chris has overseen CVC’s private equity activities in North America since 2007, significantly developing the business in this time.
Lorne joined CVC in 2008 and will continue to be Co-Head of CVC Private Equity’s Strategic Opportunities strategy, which invests in high-quality, stable businesses with longer investment horizons. Cathrin has been at CVC since 2016 and will continue as Global Head of Healthcare and a member of CVC’s Partners Board.
Lorne and Cathrin know North American markets well having led their respective investment strategies in the region for many years, and have both previously been based in New York.
