CVC Capital Partners ("CVC") today announces the next phase of its leadership succession. Todd Sisitsky, who will join CVC from TPG where he has been President since 2021 and Peter Rutland, currently President of CVC, will together become Co-Chief Executive Officers by Q1 2028, when Rob Lucas will step back as Chief Executive Officer. In his role as Co-CEO, Todd will also chair the CVC Partner Board. Soren Vestergaard-Poulsen will continue as CIO Private Equity, as well as chair of the Europe/Americas, Strategic Opportunities and Catalyst Investment Committees.
The move reflects CVC's well-established approach to succession planning at the most senior levels of the firm. These appointments are consistent with the deliberate, multi-year transitions that have shaped previous leadership changes across the platform. It also reinforces CVC’s ongoing strategic focus on performance, growth and diversification.
Rob has led the Group since June 2021 including through CVC’s IPO on Euronext Amsterdam in April 2024. Following the CEO transition, Rob will remain closely involved both at a group level and in the firm's investment activities, continuing as a member of the Europe/Americas, Strategic Opportunities and Catalyst Investment Committees and will serve as a Key Man for Europe/ Americas Fund X.
Todd Sisitsky will join CVC from TPG, where he has spent more than 23 years, most recently as President and co-chair of the firm’s Management Committee. Todd also served on both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee at TPG. Todd built his career as an investor primarily in healthcare, and as a leader of the firm’s flagship investment fund, TPG Capital. As President, his oversight responsibilities expanded to include many of the firm’s private equity strategies, and he played a leadership role in driving the organic and inorganic growth strategies of the firm.
Peter Rutland has been with CVC for 19 years, is a Managing Partner and the President of CVC. He is responsible for the Credit & Insurance, Secondaries and Infrastructure strategies as well as being the long-standing head of the financial services sector team globally. He is also a member of various Private Equity Investment and Executive Committees. His appointment reflects both the strength of CVC's internal leadership pipeline and the continuity that has underpinned the firm's growth.
